St. Stephen’s Community House served over 130 families in just one day

Reeb Avenue Partner, St. Stephen’s Community House worked to serve over 130 families in just one day at their Food and Nutrition Center. Volunteers helped fill hundreds of food boxes, Buckeye Health Plan generously donated $2,500, The Catholic Foundation continued support and a gift of $10,000, and donors reached into their own pockets in this time of need to address food insecurity.

Local Distilleries Pivot Production Facilities to Produce Hand Sanitizer

Local distilleries including Watershed Distillery, Middle West Spirits, and High Bank Distillery have taken the innovative approach of switching their production facilities over to produce hand sanitizer for the community.

Meal drives through The Naz feed body, soul in Grove City

Grove City Church of the Nazarene (commonly referred to as “The Naz”) has undertaken projects that are helping to make sure students in the South-Western City School District are receiving nourishment for their bodies even as their schools are closed due to Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s order. The church collected food items to provide dinners for South-Western students March 30 and April 1.

Battelle Develops Technology That Can Sterilize up to 80,000 N95 Masks Per Day

Battelle received emergency authorization from the FDA to begin deploying its sterilization system that will clean up to 80,000 N95 masks per day, allowing each mask to be used up to 20 times.

Hines Little Smiles Donates Office Personal Protective Equipment

April 5, 2020

Dr. Hines donated the offices’ Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to a few nursing homes and to Ohio Health. Among the items included are gloves, masks, disinfecting wipes and soap. Dr. Hines shared, “Let’s keep trying to save someone who’s trying to save someone.”
